Want to See a Faire Listing I’ve Optimized?

“Can I see a Faire listing you’ve optimized?” Is something I hear often.

When people ask me to see a Faire store that I’ve optimized, I’m hesitant to show it to them. I worry they may think that I make things look nice on Faire.

That is NOT what I do… although my clients DO have amazing looking listings after working with me, but that’s just a small part of it.

Optimizing your Faire store and listings goes a lot deeper than images and SEO copy.

It’s about being intentional with everything you put out there - from your main image, your brand story, keywords, product names, descriptions, graphics, GIFs and more, so that when a retailer comes across your products on Faire, catching their attention and converting them into a happy customer is easy… even when you’re not there to talk to them in person.

And that work happens first. That work takes deep thinking and understanding of the retailer. That’s the work that brands struggle with. That’s the work that I love to do and am good at.

Nice images are not what’s going to convert retailers on Faire.

It’s the attention grabbing, retailer-focused message. It’s speaking their language. It’s catching their attention in a way that makes them notice you in the first place and sharing information that they need and want to know in a way that makes sense to them. That’s going to make them notice you, want to learn more about you and eventually buy your products.

It’s also about knowing how to share your message and how different people like to consume information.

Understanding that some buyers want to read all the info and others will skim and others are way more visual. As a brand you need to be able to show up and share everything they need to know to all of them in a way that works for each of them.

So when you ask me to see a listing, know that every single message, each word, every colour, badge and photo have has deep thought and strategy behind it. It’s looks easy, but it’s not. It’s hard and I suspect that’s why your Faire sales aren’t doing as well as they could be.
